For those wanting a guide on Maxpass, I think this is the best I have read:

we keep going back and forth whether to get max pass or not!
We're (just 2 of us) going 5 days Tues 29th Sept - Sat 3rd Oct so might not need it for the rides, but would want photo's, so by the time we buy photopass, it's not a huge difference for the max pass, but then any saving is better than none and so it goes lol!

We have booked our package direct with Disney and hadn't booked the max pass, but we decided last week to pre-book it, rang up Disney yesterday and we got it for $15 per person. Don't know if it was because we booked our package before the rise or not but it's worth a try
