Noisy villas or are we just unlucky?

Do not think twice about calling the sheriff, they are very pleased to come out and give a polite warning... they like to protect the tourist experience
In 20 years I have only done once, and thre was bad dangerous behaviour next door( patio doors had glass shattered) the police were very helpful, and offered to do a drive past every night to check all was quiet
I cannot imagine this happening in the same way in the UK...but quite acceptable in Florida...( not the shuttered glass ! the sheriff happy to help xxx)

Seems like emerald island is getting a bad rap. here. Having owned on ei for 15 years and visiting over 50times the noise issue hasn't really been a problem. It happened just once with some late arriving Yanks who jumped in the pool very late but a quick shout of be quiet and it was done. A call to the Sheriff is the way to go as they do take it seriously.

we had the olice come to our villa we had rented,they came with an eviction order,as the owners hadent paid there mortgage for a number of months.we were able to stay as they had time to appeal the order.but was quite a shock when you open the door to the sherriff!
