Magic band help please

We are staying for 16 night offsite split between a Universal hotel and the Radisson. However we have also on the spur of the moment booked 2 nights at Port orleons 5 nights before the end of our holiday. We already have 14 day ultimate tickets and we maybe planned to buy magic bands at the airport or Disney springs. We do have magic bands from previous trips which I am thinking I could reactivate on mydisneyexperience. Will I get new ones when I check in at port Orleans for those 2 days. I have tried to link my hotel reservation but the ref isn't working so I may have to give them a call. Any advice appreciated. X Sarah

You'll get new magic bands when you check into port orleans. Depending on how old they are your old MBs might not work with the ride photos and you'd have to use your plastic cards. As long as your ultimate tickets and MBs are linked up to MDE you should be fine.

Thanks. In that case as I don't want to be messing with cards and don't want to take the risk that my old bands won't work with memory maker. Looks like will have to buy new at the start of the holiday. Pity I can't get my port Orleans ones early and link to those as if I lived in the USA they would probably be posted to us so would have them early! X Sarah
