2nd bag drop MCO.

So does anyone’s have any positive experience of the second bag drop at MCO
I’m starting to panic that we won’t manage the escalator and have to use bag drop\belt

It’s just me, boyfriend and a 2.5 year old with 3 suitcases, 2 hand luggage’s and a pushchair!

ive thought about puttting a case in a case so we have 2 outbound and 3 for the return!

Arghhhh

I used it on our first trip, just me, two kids aged 6 and 8 with two cases and a stroller. Took forever to get the bags through. The second time I pulled both cases, one in front of me and one behind and it was fine. Personally I would try not to use it unless it's quicker now, it took that long the Alamo garage was deserted by the time we got there !

We used it a couple of years ago and it wasn't too bad. One bag took a while but it was ok. TBH it was a godsend as it freed us up for the monorail and it was a much less stressful experience. Last year when we went we asked one of the officers if they could help us and they came up with us! So maybe ask?

I've used it twice both times only had to wait 10 mins for bags. Don't use it if it's raining as they don't transfer bags in the rain.

When we got in last Sunday the escalator was broken!
Undeterred I lugged a case and a cabin bag up the stairs and my Wife stayed at the bottom, looked helpless and one of the Guys took the other case up for her

We didn’t use it. We have two kids and took 3 big suitcases with a 4th inside another for the way home.
Does your pushchair fold up to fit in a case?

I would avoid at all costs but sometimes it’s just necessary. If you can make your handluggage rucksacks and have a compliant 2.5 year old you might manage. You’ll definitely be fine if you can reduce to two cases as one focussed adult can get two cases up the escalator so long as you’re concentrating. That would leave you with a rucksack a buggy and your toddler with a hand free to hold theirs. You shouldn’t need three cases on the way out really with such a young child.

We had our 14 month old, 3 cases, hand luggage, stroller and huge isofix car seat between the two of us and we tried but there was no way we were getting up the escalators and on the monorail. We had no choice but to use the second bag drop, luckily we only waited 20 minutes for the belt to start at the other end.
Would much rather have a 20 minute wait than start the holiday struggling and smashing into others with everything but the kitchen sink!

We have always managed the escalator with 2 pushchairs, 2 children, their pull along cabin cases, our hand luggage and our 2 huge cases

Where there's a will there's a way - though looking back I don't know how we did it!

I’d personally avoid it at all costs, it will be much quicker to take all your luggage up the escalator and onto the monorail
