How to book fast passes

So we booked our 14 day Disney ultimate tickets earlier in the year and have set up the Walt Disney World App . We travel on the 7th June and are staying off site. I think this means we can book our fast passes 30 days before but can�t see anywhere on the app that registers our trip dates. How does the App know when it�s 30 days before to let me start booking my fast passes ? Thanks

It doesn't. It will basically let you book fastpasses for any 30 day period, so you could book for today or 30 days from today, or any day in-between if you wanted. You just simply go on 30 days before the date you want the fastpass for and book.
