OKW Disney/DVC Bookings
I have 14 nights booked next August at OKW with tickets and DDP. However, I managed to get really cheap flights with BA but these were for 16 nights so I've tagged an extra 2 nights on the end by renting DVC points from a lovely fellow Dibber. Does anyone know whether we'll have to change rooms at the end of the 14 night stay and change to a DVC room or would it be likely that we could stay in the same room? It's not a big deal if we have to change rooms but would obviously be easier not to. Does anyone have any experience of doing this? TIA.

One is DVC, one cash so may be problematic as could be on different systems. Usually if it's all DVC you can have a word with front desk. I'd try, hopefully they'll be able to keep you in the same room if same type.

Thanks both. It's a way off yet but I'll have a chat with the front desk when we check in and see if there is anything they can do. It's no big deal but it'd certainly make life easier on check out/in day.

We used to do this a few years ago when we didn't quite have enough Points for the 10 weeks we used to do.
Every 3rd year I had to have a 10 Night cash stay followed by an 18 night DVC stay or vice versa. Actually thinking about it it was DVC then cash! They can link both bookings at check in stage or you can ring OKW circa 1 week prior to travel and ask the desk clerk to link them. Both work as it suits them to do this

You shouldn’t have to change if you ask at check in. We’ve had DVC, cash, DVC at BLT for one stay. We stayed in the same room all the time.

Ah thanks so much for this. Just what I wanted to hear - It will make it so much easier not having to move rooms for those last couple of days. .

If yopu book outside of Disney, they cannot link the bookings but will try to accommodate you staying in the same room if you ask at checking in. Unless you are there at a super busy time (Christmas or Easter) this can usually be done.

I've also linked a points stay with a cash stay and not had to move.
