Parking at Monorail resorts
We are staying at Beach Club and have a hire car booked. On an MK day I wanted to take the monorail out to GF for lunch and then head back to our hotel for a break from the park before coming back later. I know DS5 will want to ride the monorail so I wondered if I could park up at GF in morning, go into MK via monorail then back out for lunch at GF cafe and get car and head back to BC.
Is that possible? |

As USA guests now have to pay for parking ( uk from 2020) at the resorts for overnight stays I think you still get 3 hrs parking for an adr or can pay valet . Not sure you would have much time to do lunch and the park in that time . If staying at the beach club You could walk or boat it to Epcot and get the monorail to GF as an alternative and take your time.

I doubt very much they would let you park up in the morning for a lunch time ADR as it would obviously exceed the 3 hours. Valet parking would be fine as you can leave the car as long as you want.
BC to MK via car is not a great option either, as you have to park in the TTC and then ferry or mono rail across. Bus is generally a lot faster as it leaves you directly at the park entrance. Personally I'd valet if you really want to bring the car. Otherwise I'd bus it in the morning, monorail to GF (this is the longer way round than coming back so DS5 will be happy), ferry back to MK and bus back. Walking to and through Epcot and then Monorail to TTC then monorail to MK would be a min of an hour to an hour and 15m all going well. Plus you'll be restricted to leaving after Epcot has opened which may not be practical.

I would stick to the Disney transport as above.

A few weeks ago we were staying at the beach club and had breakfast at 1900 PF. We parked up a little before 08:00, had breakfast and then got the monorail into MK. We left mid afternoon getting the mornorail back to GF. I never gave it much of a thought about the car being left there but had no issues at all.
