I do sometimes make them crumpet pizza though which is toasted crumpets with ketchup on, topped with cheese and then melted under the grill. That is my piece de resistance which probably explains why my family fondly call me Nigella 🤣
I do that with english muffins tho i prefer to use tomato puree to ketchup

I think it sounds rather nice Prob prefer to have a dab of ketchup or sweet chilli sauce though . Melted cheese on crumpets with sweet chilli sauce even better

Had some on my cheese on toast today. Cold pickle on hot cheese on toast rather than the toast spread with pickle and the cheese melted over the top. Tasted wierd that way round.

The toast also had a disappointingly soggy bottom too. Mary Berry would be very disappointed in me 😁

Where is the button for "ooooo I've never tried that but I will"?

I sometimes think cheese on toast can be sickly depending on what cheese you use, I sometimes chop pickled onions and put them on with the cheese and I love that, so Branston pickle sounds a good idea to me.

I've bought some Branston for the Christmas cheese and biscuits so I'm going to try

Ha ha - I can't believe my poll is still going!

Thank you for all the votes Dibbers - although you have possibly made history by letting a husband win an argument for the first time ever!
