ADRs with young children
Hi
Adr day is fast approaching so starting to get a list together of where we want to book. We have full dining for 16nights so 16 credits. Where would everyone recommend booking for travelling with a 2.5 and 1yr old? We don't mind paying oop for kids meals at placed that aren't buffet style. Thank you!

With young children I would book a few breakfast's and Lunch times as even when our 2 were older they sometimes were a bit too tried for evening meals. We all like Garden Grill in Epcot and Tusker House for breakfast ADR especially the first morning we are usually up early anyway so by 8.00am it felt like lunch-time. I would also check out the menu's along the top it will gave you an idea about the food. Now it's usually just me and DH but we do like a late breakfast or early lunch to free up a few evenings. Would say as well California Grill and Narcoossee's are our favourite 2 table credits meals. Enjoy your planning.

I took my DS at 18m and nearly 3y at a similar age to your children (2007 and 2009).
We did breakfast/lunches with only the odd dinner as a PP said because of age/tiredness. I think the 'must do's' for young children and the ones I chose were; Crystal Palace (B, L or D) Tusker House (B, L or D) Chef Mickey's (B or L) 1900 Park Fare (B) Garden Grill (B or L) Rainforest Cafe AK (L) Even though DS is much older now, we are still doing them all again in April. Never done T-Rex but I've heard that it can sometimes be a hit with younger ones too. Boma (B) was also good and there were loads of young children there, although no characters. Also BOG (QS) and CRT seem to be v v popular - we haven't done either but have BOG booked for April a couple of times to try it. Edited at 11:30 AM. |

The only character meal we have ever done is breakfast at Crystal Palace when my dauhgter was about 9. We all loved it.
We have eaten in T-rex once several years ago also. The food was mediocre but the surroundings were really good. Again, we all enjoyed the experience if not the food.

With little ones we always used most of our TS credits for lunch as we found playing the afternoon/evening by ear better for them. We were regularly in bed reading books by torchlight by 8 back in the day! Buffets were good for us as there was always something they’d eat and they both always loved the characters. It’s also worth seeing what time dinner starts as of it’s 4pmish and you’ve had a sleep in day with brunch then that can be a decent opportunity for a none buffet TS meal where the kids will be hungry and not too tired to be in a decent mood.
