We've booked Coronado because it looks nicer and is getting a massive revamp with the new tower and lake restaurant.
Kinda jealous that Caribbean gets the Skyliner though |

How long are you planning on staying? You've missed free dining unfortunately, but the free nights offer is currently on and you get twice as many at CBR than you do at CSR. Of the two, we've only stayed at CBR, with a teen boy and girl, and they loved it, so that's where we're returning to next year. CSR is also a convention resort which puts me off slightly.

I think I prefer the overall vibe of Coronado so even if I knew about the Skyliner when booking, I probably would have still gone with Coronado

Personally, I'd go with whichever is cheapest.

These two were exactly the same price for our dates next year. We chose CSR as we don’t like carpet in Disney’s hotel rooms and it’s guaranteed all of CSR won’t have any by our stay but we couldn’t get a 100% answer about CBR. Also think CSR looks a bit more ‘adult’ and we have no kids, and have seen lots of people say it may be upgraded to a deluxe after all of the changes so figured we’d try it out while we can!

I have stayed in both and very happy with both. I think the CBR has a slightly more peaceful air to it but the CSR feels more upscale.
You should be happy with either. I always go with the less expensive. |

a few thoughts...
The CSR pool is very nice for an older child and adults. CSR pool is better suited, IMO, for younger children. There is a more 'adult' atmosphere at CSR, that is exotic and serene. There are also more amenities at CSR - including a beauty salon/spa. CBR is tropical island themed, which can be relaxing, but it can be confusing to find your room in the different 'island' areas. CBR is a great resort, but we prefer CSR. I have heard that CBR rooms are slightly larger, but I'm not sure about that. CBR will have the Skyliner, if that is of interest. |
