WDW With A British Accent - Day 1 Animal Kingdom & Kouzzina

Awake early as usual on first day, arrived at Ak 8.30 waiting at the ropes.

Still waiting

Head straight to safari, do not stop, do not pass Go. :-)

Early morning and lots of animals out.

"Do you think they can see my bum?"

After the safari we head for Everest, no wait so we rode it a couple of times.

Found rudolph

Time for some breakfast

Breakfast Bounty Platter.
Not the best food you will find in WDW but it was ok.

Tough to be a bug had virtually no wait

Wait was 10 mins for this but it closed before we got on it as someone had dropped a bag on to the tracks.

So we did primeval whirl instead with 5-10 minute wait

Frozen Margarita time. Just for the cooling effect you understand :-)

We went to see Nemo and his fishy friends. After this the park seemed a lot busier, wait times for Everest and the Safari were 20 minutes now, which still isn't too bad for early afternoon. Other attractions were still 10 minutes wait time.

We did have Yak and Yeti booked for 4pm, however we decided to call it a day at AK. It was getting more crowded and the temperature was 31 and seemed to be rising. So I checked on the MDE App and booked Kouzzina for 6:50pm tonight and cancelled Yak & Yeti. Having WiFi in the parks and the MDE App is great for making changes to your plan on the fly.

We then left the park for a siesta back at Coronado and give us time to relax before going out again later this evening.

Some early evening pictures from the Boardwalk whilst we wait for our Kouzzina table.

Table is ready

Kouzzina Sampler
Marinated Olives, Dolmades, Tzatziki, Hummus, Pita, Greek Lamb Meatballs in Sauce and Pork Souvlaki

Wood Grilled Steak with kouzzina potatoes and broccoli.

Chocolate Budino Cake
Warm Molten Chocolate with Raspberry Sorbet
