WDW With A British Accent - Day 4 Discovery Cove

Today we did Discovery Cove, curtesy of Seaworld Parks and Entertainment.

We arrived very early, got checked in and was introduced to our host for the day then escorted to our Cabana.
Our Dolphin Interaction was scheduled for 10:30am.

The photos here are all taken as stills from my underwater camcorder.

our Starfish Cabana was very private.

our Starfish Cabana looked over the Dolphin lagoon where we would be doing our Dolphin swim, it was great to be able to watch from our private viewpoint.

The Grand Reef is excellent, the cold water takes your breath away at first but once you are use to it it is ok.
I have snorkelled in the Indian Ocean and the Grand Reef here at Discovery cove comes very close to the real thing, even with lots of people in the water it doesn't seem crowded at all.

There are lots of Rays in the reef and they swim under and around you from all directions.

The Sharks are behind Glass panels but underwater they look like they are in the same pool.

This was my first visit to Discovery Cove and I must say I am very impressed.
Everything from the interaction experience to the courteous staff was excellent.

The DIBB advice for DC is to arrive early, this way you can get checked in without queuing and you get an earlier Dolphin Swim. The heavens opened for about an hour and a half in the afternoon, so some groups had to do their swim in the torrential rain.
