I’ve just given DH and DD the London bus - that should keep them quiet for a bit!

Loved doing that. I got a few figures so that the bus has passengers and a conductor - as well as the driver which comes with the set.

I got the Lego ideas old fishing shop. I'm absolutely in love with it, finished it in one day and it was the most fun I've ever had building Lego.

My DH did very well and managed to find the retired Hogwarts Express for me (4841). It's not in the original box but it came in unopened bags. I'm saving it for when the Christmas decorations are away so it can have pride of place in the lounge.

Yes please! I built it this time last year, between Christmas and New Year. I deliberately took my time and savoured every bag and it took 13 hours.

I got my DS26 this for Christmas, he says it’s his favourite set so far and he has a lot of Lego. However that may change as he put all his Christmas money towards the Taj Mahal which he has just started to build.

The kids have outgrown the times of asking for Lego sets for Christmas. They still like the Advent calendar. Reading about it on the Dibb made me think about giving it a go for myself. Only in a small way, though. My DW got me the City Pizza Van for Christmas. I finished it today, with some input from the youngest. Really enjoyed it and it looks great. My SIL put small presents on the table when we visited and I’ve got a little City Police starter set to do.

We’ve still got boxloads, mainly in storage boxes rather than original sets.
