Just had planning permission approved for a single story extention. Should start the build next year some time. Exciting.

We’ve had most of downstairs in storage since last spring & once the outbuilding goes up fully that will be storage for everything from upstairs when the insides get done! We just have messy gardens at the moment so apart from loosing the downstairs WC & utility area we’re as we were & the real mess starts when the internal works start 😬

Den & dining rm extension going up, screed piped in today, gap at end is for narrow floor to ceiling window.

Edge of the dining room extension

Doors will go across this gap

Alleyway now visible & utility & study going up & floors screeded

they’ve assured me they’re big enough for purposes (they look teeny tiny to me!)

I love these threads. I recently had my kitchen redone. It involves a wall getting knocked down to make the dining room and kitchen one room. That was enough disruption and dust for my liking. I can’t imagine the upheaval you will have. Wil you need to move out at any point?

Worth it though hey?

We will have the odd point where we need to stay elsewhere for a day or two here & there, but not many apparently, though may do more for our sanity! 😬
