Knowing that I'm going to be walking all day in the parks I wouldn't go out there wearing anything that had not been worn in for at least 3 months.

I will certainly try some of these ideas, It never used to bother me when we first started going but now with age I think my skin has gone thinner.

I now wear trainers with socks, I can not wear sandals they have no support for walking long distance. I always take 2 pair. Mum wears her Hotter sandals and swears by them she sometimes wears socks (with long trousers) Daughter wears flip flops. It’s just a case of finding what’s best for you.

Crocs, ugly as hell, but the most comfortable footwear for doing the parks.my DW loves some of the different types available, wide choice of styles now.

I have lymphoedema in my feet/legs which means I can't buy footwear from normal shoe shops as none fit me due to the swelling in my feet. I get them from Cosyfeet, a company specialising in footwear for problem feet. They're expensive but worth it as the shoes and sandals I get from there (EEEEE width) are very comfortable. Because of this condition I don't have to pay VAT on them which helps with the cost. cosyfeet/?gclid=EAIa... AEgL_aPD_BwE

I also have very delicate feet and have to treat them with very special care. Also since reaching “a certain age” I also suffer with hot feet, which I can’t stand.

I’ve worn Merrel Siena sandals for many, many trips and have never suffered with any blisters. They are totally wearable from new, the leather is soft and the sole is cushions and shaped to give amazing support. They are also pretty enough to work with skirts, shorts or jeans. They aren’t cheap but they do last for years.

I too find sketchers the most comfortable but like you say they can make your feet sweaty so I always wear those tiny little lace footlet things (from primark). They're great and no more sweaty feet!

I wouldn't be without my Teva sandals.

Have you tried using Mole Skin in the areas that rub/blister? I think I read this on a US Disney board originally so tried it. It was really good for us, lasted a full Park day and added comfort to ten balls of your feet; or wherever needed. Use it from the start to avoid the blister, do not use on already damaged skin.
