Flight of Passage - 7 weeks pregnant - to ride or not!?

Hi all,
I will be 7 weeks pregnant when we go in a couple of weeks, and as ecstatic as I am about that, I was quite looking forward to riding flight of passage! I know there is an advisory for expectant mothers not to ride this one, but there is a world of difference between 7 weeks and 9 months, so just wondered what those who have ridden it think? I've watched a video online but it's hard to tell just how bumpy it is! Don't want to do anything silly, but also don't want to skip it for no good reason! Not bothered about any of the other rides with advisories, just this one!
Thanks everyone
Christine

No, don't ride. If there is even a doubt...err on the side of playing it safe.

Come back in a few years (congrats by the way) when you can enjoy with your little one too.

From what I can remember (we rode in April this year) it really wasn’t very bumpy at all, the way you’re strapped in would prove an issue if heavily pregnant but at 7 weeks, I would imagine it wouldn’t be one. However, I’m not sure what the advisory is for, it could be for anything!

As the back restraint pushes you right up against the front rest area, I’m not sure I’d risk it. You could always explain the ride in full to your doctor and see what he/she advises. There’s always next time

Personally I wouldn't risk it. You can do it next time.

Only you can make the decision, but I don’t think it’s a rough ride. It’s really just a jazzed up version of Soarin really, although it is fabulous. Pregnant women do sports and ride horses etc. However, if you have doubts, don’t ride. You can always do it another time.

I wouldn't risk it and I haven't got a maternal bone in my body! The thought of having kids leaves me cold. But FoP is just a ride. You can always go back and ride it when you're not pregnant. But only you can make the decision.

We went in May - when wife was 7 weeks pregnant.
We'd been every year in October for the previous 5 years - so we knew we'd be happy 'just walking around' and missing out on all of the 'good' rides.

FOP was the one ride DW was comfortable on - we rode it about 5 times!

I can't advise you ride it - you have to make your own decisions... from our experience FOP isn't a lot dis-similar to soarin.

I’d ride it. No bumpier or riskier than the flight!

I can't see what the risk is other than Disney covering themselves. You sit on a "bike" and have restraint against you but you don't really move. You would get more movement on a horse But people ride them, play tennis when pregnant etc. In fact there may be more turbulence on the plane!

However it is your decision
