I’ve had a looked at some of the restaurants mentioned.
Is Be our Guest, a different type of restaurant? It’s showing prices for the meals $28 etc but Chef mickeys and Crystal Palace don’t. They are showing as $35-59 - are these restaurants a set menu? Also Chef mickeys opens at 7am and but the others open at 8am |

I like to eat where I am staying first day so I had Cape May Cafe booked for next trip.
Then I had issues with getting my fast passes so I had to swap planned park days around and now we have pre park opening BOG first day, amazed it was available! |

BoG is quick service for breakfast and lunch and is a set price all year. The character meals can fluctuate depending on time of year.
Chef Mickey’s is a resort restaurant and they tend to open earlier than park ones. The earliest you’ll get an in park reservation is 8am. Most of the character breakfasts are buffet or family style where they bring a platter of food to the table. Edited at 09:40 AM. |

Hi, I think the buffet breakfast at Chef Mickey in the Contemporary Resort is a good choice. In addition to the benefit of a 7am opening time, it’s a fun, vibrant restaurant that children usually enjoy and you get to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto in one hit. It’s easy to get to Magic Kingdom on the monorail afterwards or you can walk there if you wanted to. You can make dining reservations 180 days in advance, either online from 11am U.K. time or by phone from 12 noon.

When we went last year our children were 8, 6 and 4. We had an 8.15 at Crystal Palace on our first morning. It was great. We went on a few rides first as it was EMH. We'd given the kids some cereal in our room (at AoA which is a fantastic resort with young children you will love it) at around 6am. They were ready to eat again at 8.15. We also went to Chef Mickeys later in the hol and there's no comparison imo. Food, location, surroundings, character interactions were much better at Crystal Palace. It's one meal the girls have insisted on doing again next time. They never even talk about Chef Mickeys and we'll be giving it a miss.
