Blue Heron Resort housekeeping
Hi,
We are staying at the above next year. I understand that if you want housekeeping you have to pay extra. To be honest we aren't bothered about housekeeping. There are only 2 of us & we will be out a lot of the time but it would be good to get clean towels & bedding & dispose of rubbish. So for anyone who has stayed there, what did you do? Also if anyone has any hints or tips about the resort or local area please share. Tia

Hello, We stayed here for the second time in May and just told them when we checked in that we didn't want housekeeping. You have a washing machine and a tumble dryer so you're able to have clean towels and sheets like that. We emailed them a few weeks before we arrived, asking for a quiet apartment facing the lake. It's a nice place and very easy to get to Disney from and quite close to restaurants. There is also plenty of parking. Hope you have a good time.

They have rubbish shutes on every corridor so it’s very easy to get rid of all rubbish.

Ha ha! I feel a bit dim now obviously we can wash our own! The washer was one of the things that attracted us.
Thanks for the apartment tip - the lake looks beautiful.

There is a mandatory charge of $45 for cleaning the apartment for the next occupant in addition to the $15 a day resort fee this is payable on check in regardless of asking for any extra cleaning. We’re just back from three weeks there and didn’t ask for extra cleaning. I brought dishwasher tablets and soap powder tablets/fabric conditioner tumble drier sheets with me. I left behind any not used which gave us extra weight for bringing goodies back.

We have just come back you get some bin bags for each bin, a couple of dishwasher tabs, small washing up liquid and shampoo & condtioner. Bit annoying they have introduced a resort fee as when we first went you didn't have to pay and you got a midweek clean. A sign of the times i suppose a lot of them do resort fees. However I would go again as we love the location. We were home from Disney in 10-15 mins at night. Fab views over the lake.

Thanks. I did notice the fees before I booked & did have to think about it but hopefully it's worth it. I will definitely bring some cleaning bits & bobs.
