Throw away hotel booking
We’ve seen a good deal for a week holiday but we only want to use the first weeks accommodation, the other weeks we want to travel around stopping as and when. Can we book the deal and only use one week of the accommodation? Or is it best if we don’t check out and make sure we return on the last day to check out? I hope that made sense lol

I think there's something missing from your first line, so you're looking to book a room for a few weeks but only use it for one?
You'd need to check the T&Cs. I assume because you've used 'throwaway' you're expecting to pay for the full period? If that's the case, can't see why the hotel would have an issue, but I'd check with them directly. |

waiting impatiently...!

You can check out early if you want, it won't matter to the hotel as the room is already paid for. It's a win win for them as they could rent out the room again or just save on the housekeeping.

Just have express checkout set up when checking in, however due to safety I would just tell them you are checking out early.

As above. When you're over there just say that your plans have changed and you need to check out early. You probably won't get a refund for the nights you aren't there, but there shouldn't be any problem checking out early.
Not in Florida, but I've stayed in hotels with work when plans have changed and I've had to check out earlier than I originally booked. It's not a problem.

Ok I'm guessing that there is a word or a number, greater than a week, in your first line If you pay for extra nights & don't use them, then that's your choice, I take it that you have tried to find the same Hotel but just for a week ? If it's a Disney Hotel then the only issue I could see would be in relation to using DME, if you check out after the first week I'd think it unlikely that you could then return to use DME at a later date.
Just a point to note, on here a "Throwaway" is generally a stay booked for the benefits but not actually staying. SD
