If it's a work trip can you claim it back as expenses if you are charged?

Rach yes, where some guests have been caught out are the likes of booking.com, so although it's the UK website the parent company is listed in the US. The way it is worded you could argue that you are a UK Guest no matter who you book with but what has been happening is that the Hotel's have been charging even when it's been pointed out what their website & online CMs have stated.

In February we are going to Animal Kingdom Lodge for a meal, is there a time limit of parking without getting a charge? We aren't staying there.

If you are just going for a meal they will let you park for free.

The parking charge is for overnight parking, if you are visiting then officially you are allowed 3 hours.

It doesn't mention anything about the booking - it says "Guests residing in the UK or Ireland".
Hard to imagine how it could be any clearer? Edited at 11:20 PM. |

Bobbins you have fallen into the "trap" there have been guests who have already fallen fowl to Disney's interpretation of this, including said guests providing web-pages etc. Like everyone else you would assume that it couldn't be an clearer but ….

I think the wording of the email to Papasmurf is poor, as when they originally announced this I believe it was where it was booked, not where you resided that makes the difference. I suspect they’ve just assumed everyone coming from U.K. will have booked via U.K. for this wording. For example, if I am temporarily working in the USA and book when there with a US agent or even VPN into the USA website and book, I wouldn’t expect to get free parking.
If you show them the email though and be prepared to kick up a stink I suspect they’d knock it off.

As mentioned earlier it's also on their website, and has been ever since Disney announced they were going to start charging:
disneyholidays/walt...d/faq/parking/ Of course, that's the UK Disney website. Originally, apparently Disney said it was for UK booking made before 31st December 2019. That would mean that UK bookings made next year for stays in 2020 or 2021 would not have to pay the parking fee. Whereas the wording now implies that UK guests would have to pay the parking fee for stays from 1st Jan 2020. It seems like Disney might have changed its mind?
