Question Cake decorating

I would like to do a lustre dust name on a cake, for anyone who has done this would you buy the loose lustre dust or a pen. Was thinking the loose so i could maybe do some drips on cake but am worried that the painting of the name might be easier with the pen thanks for the help.

Could you make a stencil & use the dust?
Think the dust would look better... but that’s just my opinion. 😁

You would need a stencil for the dust unless you make it into a paint (with vodka or similar)

Some paints are better than others. Sweetstix is a good one.
