This newspaper article has really made me angry
![]() This article appeared in Wednesday's newspaper, before the tiers were announced and has really made me angry. I am totally beyond words. Why are London businesses any more special than businesses in cities in the North of England, or anywhere else in tier 3? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Clearly no where else matters and no one else has suffered any hardship what so ever. Bloody idiots.

And other parts of the UK have had their local politicians making exactly the same statements.
Same goes for those in tier 2 saying the should be in tier 1. It's called localism and political positioning. |

In many cases I think its actually called "common sense" - saw a news report last week of a town in Dorset where they have ZERO virus cases and its been like that for weeks - they are tier 3 because towns 20 miles away have it bad.
There has to be a better way than the infantile, heavy handed approach the Govt are taking - needlessly destroying businesses and peoples jobs in order to keep people "safe".

I’d be more shocked if politicians weren’t fighting for their local area being as open as possible.

Khan is the Mayor of London, of course he is going to fight his corner to make sure London has the best possible outcome, equally, just like the Mayor of Manchester is fighting his.

If Dorset were not in Tier 3 then there would be a total invasion, as what happened last time in Devon and Cornwall, of idiots going there!
