I am asking for my sister. Her son is 17 and splits his week between his mum & dad. On Christmas day he always spends the morning and early afternoon with my sister then they come to my mums so we can all see each other.
Then he goes to his dads, visits his grandma and stays with dad until boxing day. As he is a child from a split family is that ok? To make things even more complicated, her partner has a daughter who will want to visit on Christmas day too. And what about her partners mum. It’s definitely more complicated when two split families come together. |

As far as I’m aware a child under 18 joins the parents bubble.

Children under 18 can be in both bubbles formed by their parents. So mum plus two households and dad plus two households.
