35 years ago the Solomon Browne went down trying to save the lives of others. 16 lives were lost including those of 8 volunteer lifeboat men. RIP to all who lost their lives that day.cornwalllive/penlee-l...ail/story.html

Sad that I am I read Wikipedia every morning for notable dates. Therefore I read this today and the fact the Sea King Heli was flown by an American and was the one Prince Andrew flew in the Falklands!
Such brave volunteers and I see the Son of one of the lifeboat crew wasn't allowed to sail as his dad was onboard
