Holiday insurance question
I've been looking around for holiday insurance with pre-existing medical conditions. We're looking at £450 for the three of us (Me and DH have medical conditions). This price is way higher than in 2015, when we went. However I have noticed taking out annual insurance is a lot cheaper, even with the same medical conditions. Anyone know why this is? Also if this is the case I won't be able to book the insurance until November as we don't go until 2018 ( is that correct) ?

If you don't go until non 2018 then you need an annual policy that covers then but you really need insurance from the moment you spend money. If you got sick now and it meant you couldn't travel in 2018 then you wouldn't be able to claim if you've not yet taken out insurance. This might mean you are better with a single trip policy. Or will need to take an annual policy and then renew It before you go.

We have previously used Allclear as DH has numerous medical conditions but this year Avanti came up cheaper as they have a 20% discount code on their website. We also used Topcashback and got it even cheaper

Worth speaking to your bank. Best deal for us with existing conditions (not to serious) by a long way

We're using Boots Travel Insurance after scouring the Dibb for info. They ask more personalised questions than the other companies which means the insurance is tailored exactly for you and this made it way cheaper yet still with decent cover.

I found World First was cheapest in 2015 and a good annual policy. Need to start looking again for travel Sept 2017

I agree, our bank covered us for less than other quotes and covered things other companies wouldn't cover.
