What are people's thoughts on Wednesdays flights to Orlando going ahead?

I would guess to MCO very likely. We are due to fly to Tampa on Tuesday and that is less likely now.
We originally had flights booked from gatwick to MCO on Monday, then changed it to Tampa on Tuesday because the forecasts showed irma going east so we thought Tampa was a safer bet😬 |

I would think the knock on effects will still be being felt, delays, long waits for security and baggage reclaim etc. But depending on conditions on the ground and any damage, they should be flying by then.

I called BA again yesterday and they said nothing for Tuesday or Wednesday to MCO. The BA lady said they have other flights going to Tampa and Orlando with AA, but I've checked and they there are limited flights and the ones I've seen have a night stop over somewhere so not looking too good.
Me and the wife can go next month or even November or December so we are disappointed for my son and his girlfriend who were so excited about going and have to go back to uni so they can't go with me and the wife if we have to cancel this trip. In the bigger picture it is no big deal if we don't get out there when compared with the poor sods that have lost everything and the likelihood of others being in the same position. Can't belive some people are worried about losing their fast pass slot! |

We are TC from 12.00 Manchester on Wednesday. Little relieved to see some of you are confident in a Wednesday flight going ahead. Delays expected, maybe?

Thanks all.
I am flying for first time with little girl who will have just turned two. Am kind of thinking if the flight goes ahead there will be delays. Agree with a previous post that in the grand scheme of things it's really no big deal. My parents are out there at the moment and that is my biggest worry followed by every single other person who Irma will affect xx |
