1hr 50 layover... cutting it fine?

We have a 1hr 50 mins layover at Philadephia on the wayout in October. Husband says its fine...im having my doubts. Appreciate delays happen but if there were no delays taking off this end is it doable?

PHL is fairly easy to navigate, but that's on the tight side. In addition to flight punctuality, will depend on time for immigration and reclearing security. It's quite possible, but any significant delay in one of these three areas would create a fair amount of risk.

Check to see if there is another later flight in case you get held up.

i have done indirect before and i would prefer around 2 1/2 hrs min on the way out just in case of any delays on departure etc, as you also have to collect bags and go through immigration which could always eat into some time if busy.

No I wouldn't do it on the way out, I would stick to a three hour minimum. Even if you make it, your luggage might not.

We've been through Philli twice really quickly - the fastest got us to the next gate in less than 20 minutes. If there are plenty of later flights I'd risk it if I was you, although I would take a change of clothes and swimmers in hand luggage in case your baggage takes a different flight.

I would definitely agree. I am currently at LHR due to fly BA to MIA and we are delayed 3 hours! 😃

I have completed that route with the same layover in August and despite feeling very rushed we made the next flight with 10 mins to spare (including a 10-minute lockdown when going through security). It is fairly simple to navigate.

The only thing I would say is to check that there is a later flight if needs be and you are on a through ticket. At least if you don't make it you will be on the next available flight.
