BA cancelling some TPA and domestic services in Oct

BA have started to cancel some of their domestic services and Tampa flights for October.

The Tampa flights from 1st to 24th October have been cancelled and are scheduled to re-start with the introduction of the Winter 20/21 timetable on 25th Oct (subject to change with US/UK travel restrictions of course).

It seems that BA are also reducing domestic flights, for instance NCL-LHR Mon-Fri were scheduled to have 5 flights and it is now down to 2.

We got the e mail about the NCL - LHR change and if our MCO flight does go ahead in December it will mean a very long wait for the connection back home

What’s the guess for BA keeping the LGW-Tampa flight during the summer in the future? Is this a route than could be in danger of getting axed like BA to Fort Lauderdale?

BA ran the FLL route in opposition to Norwegian setting up and once they withdrew BA did the same. It never really made financial sense with Miami being a few miles down the road and BA operating 2 or 3 services a day at times.

As TPA is an established route for BA I would hope they continue it but in this present situation who knows.

Thank you. I hope sticks around as it’s such a cheaper alternative to MCO.

The Tampa flights up to 24th were cancelled a few weeks back. Half of our party were due to travel 24th to Tampa with the rest of us to Orlando.

We were flying on reward flights so have been able to cancel those to rebook for next year, but a few of us are still waiting on a cancellation!
