Where should I fit in Disney Springs?
Not sure whether to put this in the trip planning thread, or theme park thread... it's a mix of both!
See current itinerary below. We're going to be staying in LBV in the Clarion Inn, does anyone know if it's possible to walk from there to Disney Springs? (I've read mixed reviews on here). I would like to know whether I should try to fit Disney Springs somewhere into my itinerary, or if what I have planned looks like I should be fine to just go after one of the parks some night? I've never been to AK or HS so unsure of how long I expect to stay there. We're a party of two adults if that helps, will maybe watch a few of the shows, but will prefer to go on rides mostly. I definitely want to go to Disney Springs, but I'm trying not to plan too much of the itinerary.. Do people find it easy enough to say, go to Epcot for the day, go to Disney Springs for a few hours, and then go back for Illuminations? On my actual itinerary I have ADRs and other food plans scheduled in, but here's my main plans for the days! Wednesday - arrive at MCO at 16:50 Thursday - Magic Kingdom Friday - Universal until around 3:30 pm, pick up car, car show in Old Town Saturday - Kennedy Space Centre Sunday - Epcot Monday - Universal, International Premium Outlet Tuesday - Hollywood Studios, Mall at Millenia? Wednesday - Animal Kingdom Thursday - Universal, Mall at Millenia for Cheescake Factory Friday - Magic Kingdom Saturday - Home |

WOW that's a hectic schedule, if it was me then I would try and fit it in after Animal Kingdom on the Wednesday.
To see EPCOT properly then it will take you more than a full day.

We just fit Disney springs in when we’re at a loose end one evening or if rain changes our plans. I don’t think it’s somethimg that has to be planned personally.

I hope you don’t mind me saying that I think you are trying to do too much. I appreciate as a couple you can get a lot more in than a family but you will be exhausted !
We just didn’t “get” Disney Springs. We found it to just be a glorified high end shopping centre and didn’t really see the Disney bit, it was also crazy busy. For me a quick walk round after a park evening would be more than enough. Given the cost of the tickets I probably wouldn’t want to leave Universal on your first day there at 3.30 either. How are you getting to your hotel and MK if you pick up your car on Friday ? Whatever you plan hope you have a fabulous holiday ! |

I know we will be! I crammed a lot into my last 7/8 day trip two years ago and we were okay I much prefer to fit in as much as possible and sleep when we get home. I done a long weekend in New York a few years ago, and although I wouldn’t do it now, I think we only got about 12 hours sleep 😂
I got a quick run through Disney springs last time between going to MVMCP but would like to not rush as much. I have a few shops I’d like to visit! (E.g goody’s candy company) Edit; we’re probably going to get an Uber to the hotel, and then we have the free hotel shuttle to use for the parks. If the times don’t suit we’ll just Uber that too Edited at 02:32 PM. |

I agree chick, think you're doing too much in short amount of time. You're like me, we had it jammed for the short time we were there in 2016, and I regretted it as by day 6 I was wiped out completely! But you know how you will handle it.
Can I suggest a waterpark? HS is not a full day in my opinion, theres not much there now, and DH and I will go there after a day at a waterpark. You could maybe do Disney Springs then? What time is your flight home on the Saturday? perhaps Mall of Millenia then too before heading to the airport?

I'm really on the fence about the waterparks. My boyfriend can't swim, and so doesn't really enjoy being in water too much, and I don't want to ruin his holiday by forcing him. However, they're included in our 14 day combo tickets so it makes me think I'd like to try them out. I had been considering going to Disney Springs after HS as I have seen a lot of people saying there's not too much to do there now, but then others saying it still takes a day!
We need to leave the hotel around 12/1230 so I don't think I'll plan anything other than breakfast for that morning! It'll probably be spent sitting on my suitcase trying to squeeze all my purchases into both our cases |

HS - if you had kids with you, yes I can definitely say it's a full day park as loads of shows etc., but when my hubby and I went, it was literally a case of Rockin roller coaster, ToT, Star tours, wee mull about then back to hotel for 3pm then off to Disney springs etc.
Your boyfriend doesn't have to go in the water, can he not go on the slides etc. (ones that don't end in a deep pool)? I'm sure he would appreciate a day to just chill on a lounger or a lazy river in a rubber ring? I also agree that being at US till 3pm is a shame, bit of a waste as there's sooo much to do there. Can you arrange to pick up the car first thing that morning?

If you are wanting to fit it in I’d just go on an evening after a park day. It’s nice to just pop over there for a couple of hours grab a bite to eat and have a wander.
There are lots of shops there to look in too. Kat Edited at 03:35 PM. |

We normally go a couple of evenings to eat and look around the shops and find that enough for us.
If you are at at park there are buses after 4pm (unless its changed recently) to Disney Springs, so perhaps do that then just get an Uber back to your hotel with your shopping which should be cheap as its only just up the road. My plan is always really full as well, we like it that way, we just take a break in the parks when we need to or have an early night |
