Finding the Gazebo - Day 5 Nassau

Our port today was Nassau in the Bahamas and Megan surprised us by having her alarm set for 8 and was first up and ready. We normally leave her in bed on the ship while we get breakfast but she had arranged to meet some from Vibe in Cabanas.
We went to cabanas for our breakfast and then met Megan back at the room to go ashore.

We weren't expecting much from today and just thought we'd have a wander round, but after half an hour of being hassled by every shopkeeper we passed it was enough for us and we were soon back on board.

Megan left us to go to Vibe and we sat on deck 12 near the adult pool. We kept having a dip and then went in the hot tub overlooking the blue sea, palm trees and Atlantis in the background.

It was a really nice view from the ship and much more enjoyable than in town.

We had lunch at Cabanas before going back to deck 12, this time picking beds in the shade.

Dinner tonight was at Enchanted Garden and Megan said she would meet us there. We were amazed when we arrived to find her already there sat at the table on her own.

Once again Tracey and I were the only ones at our table to have all 4 courses. Megan and Tracey had applewood bacon mushroom tart, I had lobster ravioli, then Tracey and I both had tomato soup. Megan had chicken with rice and Tracey and I both had prime rib. We remembered to ask for coffee when we ordered dessert tonight, Tracey had orange yoghurt cake, I had chocolate brownie sundae and Megan had lemon raspberry bomb. After dinner Allen showed us a card trick before we left.

We picked up a cruise leaflet and sat looking at the different itineraries and deciding which ones we fancied. We then went to watch the show, a juggler called Charles Peachock who had got to the final of America’s Got Talent. He was pretty good but jugglers aren't really our thing.

We then sat on deck 11 for a while before getting hot chocolates and turning in

A lovely relaxing day, we didn't even bother getting off the ship in Nassau and I feel like we made the right decision.
