Mobile Has anyone booked a flydrive to orlando?

Has anyone booked a flydrive to orlando but not used the car when they got there? Im genuinely terrified of driving abroad and dont want to hire a car but a flydrive is coming up as my cheapest option flight cost wise. Would anything happen to you if you didnt pick the hire car up on arrival?

I asked Virgin that once when booking another car from scratch was cheaper than upgrading and they said nothing would happen and it didn’t

Honestly, driving in Orlando is really easy if you do decide to do it. The worst part is the I4 but you can keep off that if needed. Compared to a lot of the UK or California it is really easy.

We did this last October, I took my teenage daughter and neither of us even has a full driving licence. Perfectly fine, had no problems at all with it. Quite a few Dibbers have done this to get the price they wanted. It also has the advantage of being a package so ATOL or ABTA (not sure which) protected. Plus, it means you only have to pay a deposit on booking and the balance later

We booked a flydrive with Virgin last October and didn’t pick up the car. Driving over there is fine once you get used to an automatic car but we worked out it would be cheaper to use Uber and Lyft instead.

We did this last year with no problems- got a good price in the Jan before Aug holiday and got v-room thrown in too. Get your flying club discount off it too (join up if you haven’t already for I think it’s 7% off).

We did that last year, we just didn't pick the car up and nothing was said.
