moving holiday from 2020 to 2021
Has anyone moved there holiday a whole year?
We are currently booked in at WDW for July this year but due to a few reasons I am thinking about moving it to July next year. Our booking has the free dining deal so I am assuming if I wait for next years free dining offer to kick in I should be able to move the booking and keep our free dining offer? (obviously paying the fee for amendment) Has anyone successfully moved a holiday and kept their free dining plan etc?

We moved ours from 2019 to 2020. Very easy to do. Just wait until free dining is released and then you can either call or book online.
This year they actually advised us to book online and then contact them when the craziness of free dining had died down. Once it had, they transferred any funds and sorted the deposit out for us- cancelling the old booking. In other words- yes you can and it is very easy to do. |

we have done that one year
we lost £50 as amendment fee we made a new booking, paying the full deposit for that one, then sent an email to WTDC UK asking to cancel the previous one and credit remaining deposit to the new booking we had called them beforehand to obtain "authorisation", or rather confirmation that they would transfer the deposit the remaining deposit was then transferred over to the new booking, but we still had to pay the full deposit for the new one I would advise to call before you do anything, and I can't guarantee that what was valid then is still valid now the balance is not due until 56 days out, so, as long as 2021 dining plan is released (around april 20) and you're outside of the 56 days, you should be able to move the booking but if your balance is due before 2021 free dining is released, then you have a problem (probably need to move the booking to a later 2020 date, losing maybe £50 as amendment, then losing another £50 to transfer to next year) in any event call the reservation center for WDTC UK (assuming you booked with them of course) Edited at 04:18 PM. |

They won’t move it to a new year anymore. They changed their ts and cs. They now deem this a cancellation.

Disney have in the past moved bookings from one year to the next for a £50 fee. Obviously any difference in cost of the new dates/hotel will apply also.
For 2021 you will have to wait until they officially announce the dates the general hotel rates go on sale to see if they will amend, but if you are wanting an early booking offer for 2021 you are better waiting until April to see if an offer is released! We have some customers who want to do the same, so hoping as in previous years Disney can do this! I hope this helps!
