I had 2 older brothers. I remember them teaching me how to lay the roll of caps flat on the slabs and pulling a stone along the row!

If we didn’t have a gun with the caps we just got a large stone, lay the caps on the ground unfurled and smacked the caps with the stone.

I then moved onto the plastic ring cab gun -they were much louder. I remember firing it out of the window and our neighbour thinking our tv had blown up.

I had one of those guns also loved the smell, had a spud gun too and the rocket mr morrow is on about. I have a spud gun now I got for my grandson he thinks it’s cool, he is 8 a novelty in this tech age

I must be of the wrong age as I have no memory of anything like that.

But I think you should take the brackets off “and girls” in your thread title as clearly many girls do recall.
