So it sounds like you weren't looking at the edge of the road and you didn't see the approaching vehicle.
Sounds like you were driving way too fast for the situation and lacking in attention. How is this someone else's fault?

How can it not be a rural road ? It’s been between 2 fields ..

I live on Lincs not too far from this road really and aside from the main towns and roads like the A52 the roads are rural .

And common sense tells you , you need to pull off slowly to avoid damage to tyres and wheels ..

20mph seems far too fast for me

As you know I know that area very well too and that road (had a “Uncle” that lived in Harlaxton and I learnt to drive around there as lived just outside Grantham ) apart from the High Dyke and A1I would say they are rural (deer often run out around there so need your wits about you )

Enjoy! Harry’s Place has a great reputation but I’ve never been. Maybe one day 😀

When you saw the horse box moving further into the road why didn't you stop and let it go past.

I wondered why there were two threads, but the OP posted the other one almost two weeks ago.
Someone (strangely imo) bumped the other one by posting on it yesterday when this one was up.

OP - bet you wish you hadn’t bothered posting now 😕

ETA - OP brought it back to life to add a pic.
