iPad woes
Hi, would really appreciate any help, me and hubby are both “ahem” Silver surfers, so limited tech ability, we both just replaced our very old (8 yr) iPads for nice shines new ones, however hubbies hasn’t been able to transfer any of his stuff from old one as his iPad hadn’t been updated for so long as it no longer supported the I o s needed, because I have a up to date iPhone my was able to transfer all my data via I cloud.
Trouble is all our online banking bills and utilities apps etc were on his, is there any way of getting the stuff on his new pad? We don’t have a computer.

The apps you’ll need to just download and log in.
The bills, what are they saved as? Are they PDFs etc? If so you could air drop them over to the new iPad? Or even just send them via iMessage to yours? |

Are you anywhere near an Apple store? They are really helpful and have free training sessions.

I believe that once he’s set up his new IPad, he can go onto the App Store on there & either view his purchased apps (this lists all paid for & free apps you’ve previously installed) or just use the search function to find the apps.
Find your banking & utility apps & they should have a symbol which looks like a cloud with an arrow pointing downwards from it; click on that & they’ll install on the new IPad. Edited at 11:48 PM. |

I assume he had an Apple account with an Apple ID? You should be able to see by going into the Settings app.
If so, then he'll have a small amount of iCloud storage to use and he should be able to backup his old iPad to iCloud. Then he can restore his new iPad using his Apple account and the last backup from iCloud. See here how you backup an iPad (may not quite be the same if the iOS version is old): support.apple/en-gb/guid...1.0/icloud/1.0 See here how to restore or set-up an iPad from an iCloud back-up: support.apple/en-gb/guid...56df7fd/icloud Hope that helps.
