I have already got an esta for my son, for our travel in August. His mum is also taking him in May this year.

How will it work with the Esta so his mum can use the one I have in place. As I have already put our flight dates and place we are staying in but of course this is after his mums visit with him.

Thanks for help

An ESTA is approval to travel to the USA and can be used any time during its 2 year life (unless you renew your passport). It doesn't matter if you've entered a location for your August visit. Lots of Dibbers actually put "unknown" as their address with no problems. Dozens of Dibbers travel to different states on the same ESTA without editing the address.

His API for both visits will advise the US authorities of his first night's address.

In theory an ELECTRONIC System for Travel Authorisation shouldn't need a physical print out. The swipe of his passport at the UK check will show his ESTA status.

However having read most of the ESTA threads on here since they were introduced in Jan 2009 I've seen far too many check in staff asking to see a print out. Totally unnecessary but what do you do? We always take a print out for such eventuality.

It's would save unnecessary confrontation if he has a print with him.
