Hi, We're also going at the end of June / beginning of July. Some people advise to stay away from the parks on the 4th July because of the crowds and have a chill day swimming/eating/shopping, but we've booked a table at the Spice Road Restaurant in Epcot where there are good views of the fireworks. Other spots like the Rose and Crown / Contemporary at MK where all taken.
We understand that the fireworks at MK and Epcot are extended versions of the usual show on the 4th July ( I understand MK does this on the 3rd too). Hope this helps!

We are going around that time this year - some friends who have been on 4th July before recommended shopping/pool day as the shops have lots of sales on and book somewhere nice for dinner.

We're doing DC on the 4th as limited numbers so shouldn't be any busier than it normally is.. then have a table at Spice road booked for the evening for Epcot fireworks..
that's the idea anyway! |

We are also there the same period. It’s my DD’s 18th birthday on 3rd July and I have booked RPR that night so we get 2 days at Universal with FOLP. Figure that’s the best way of doing a park at the especially busy time. We are all very excited to be there for Independence Day

We are there this time every year. Busy but manageable. Hot and humid.
We have done the parks on the 4th in the past but we now avoid them and go shopping to the outlets instead. We then have dinner at California Grill to watch the special July 4th fireworks from the balcony - avoids the crowds in the parks. The parks are quite busy the few days around the 4th but making good use of fastpass helps. We also tend to go early, head back to the hotel/pool in the afternoon then go back again in the evenings.
