Belfast is a fantastic city
Dublin, York, Liverpool/Chester (a night in each), Bath or Whitby

I'm reading the thread for ideas! Great weekend in Málaga. Flight slightly longer than desired! As per above, I'd head south! Would like to check out Seville. We had a lovely break in Porto this time last year. Heading to Lisbon later this year. Everyone is different, but I'd struggle to spend/ enjoy a weekend in Milan. We usually stay in Bergamo (when we attend the Italian gp in Monza), which is a lovely town. From here we've visited Milan (visited the cathedral and football stadium)

We went to Lisbon in June last year and it’s a lovely city. Plenty to see and do and look round, also the opportunity to take the train out of the city if you have long enough. Budapest is a nice city too. We went to Riga in December, this is ideal for a couple of days, you wouldn’t need any longer but we took a train in to the countryside and went down a bobsleigh track, now that was an experience!

Nice though it would be, sunshine isn't the main priority for this break (although Lisbon and Granada are both very tempting), so thank you all so much for the suggestions - I've really enjoyed digging up lots of information and have checked out loads of flights and places to stay, but the winner is...

(drum roll please)

... Prague!

Easyjet flights booked for about £65 each return (would have been less than £60 but I'd forgotten we've got tickets booked to the Tutankhamen exhibition so we're going a week earlier than originally planned), B&B booked. Looking forward to it!

How about Krakow, Berlin, Portugal or Barcelona ?
Or closer to home - Windsor, Northumberland or the Lake District ?
