HS first day q’s

Hi all,

We plan on doing HS on our first day. We’re hoping they pull forward their opening times! 2 questions:

1) were going with my nephews and they want to do Jedi training. I have read to be there at Indiana Jones for opening to get a group. With all of the SWGE craziness I’m assuming nothing has changed and the best option is to still go there first (even if the park hours move forward to 7/8?)

2) as it’s out first day I think I remember we need to scan our bands and fingerprints so they know it’s us on future use. I’ve been reading that at the moment they don’t always scan your fingerprint to try and get everyone in. Has the BG for RotR still worked for you if it’s your first day and you haven’t scanned your fingerprint?

This is from Disney Jan 14, 2020 does not look like much has changed for Jedi Training

As for boarding groups maybe there is another dibber has done this?

I would think you would need to have your fingers scanned or your MBs and tickets will not be activated.

Thanks! I will plan to get there first thing.

That’s what I thought but it appears they aren’t always scanning. So maybe I will just ask the CMs around the turnstiles on the day.

Jedi training has definitely got less busy- too many other rides to rope for now- I’m going to risk another ride before grabbing our spot - I’ve read on other forums there are offen spots left signing if up late morning

Im assuming as long as your ticket/band is scanned they have you in the park so should’ve able to sign up

I don’t want them to miss out. I think we are only going to rope drop one morning. Maybe we will see how busy it looks in the morning and decide from there.

Our experience last year was rope drop slinky then go to sign the boys on before star tours FP then Indy show then jedi training. We were going to avoid GE and went to HS 2 days before it opening.
I think as long as you get there by 10am you should be ok.
