I completely understand where you are coming from- we only want to fly Premium from Manchester next year too and I am dreading to think what the prices will be when the flights are released in June.

We've budgeted up to £1k each for PE flights for our trip next August -I will of course be actively looking to get it cheaper but from tracking prices over last couple of years, this seems to be the norm for that time of year direct. Last year, our PE flights with BA were £820pp and that was flying from Manchester on 24 August with a stopover in Gatwick. It would have been more if it had been direct from Gatwick
I think if you don't want to consider going indirect or flying from or into other locations other than MAN-MCO than you will have little scope to do much about the prices. Have you tried tracking the flights through Google Flights? It help us nab cheap flights to Florence this year as it alerted us when the price dropped. Edited at 03:31 PM. |

Have you tried booking economy delight on Virgin? We flew to and from LA at Christmas so over 10.5hrs and the seats had enough legroom for us, hubby is 6ft4, I'm 5ft8 and we have a v tall 12 year old.
When we walked through the PE cabin we didnt think the space was that much more and obviously you have fixed arm rests etc. It may just make the flight doable for you in terms of price. |

Hi, yea we have usually done the extra legroom seats as dh is 6foot7... liked having the extra width too tbh, granted not for much longer with the new virgin planes. x

I just had a thought. So Virgin Atlantic currently have a sale on. Has anyone ever noticed flight prices be cheaper once the 'sale' has finished? I feel like I have read a few people mentioning this in the past, but I'm not sure what threads I read it on, or if they were maybe referring to the holiday price being cheaper after the sale through Virgin Holidays or just flights direct through Virgin Atlantic. I also know there's no way to predict these things, but I have nothing to do today so I'm spending it researching, speculating and hoping

We wanted to fly direct from MAN we were ok with economy but not the prices.
We looked at LGW or indirect and decided to go with indirect as once we had factored in other costs it wasn't much cheaper. I'm kinda looking forward to it and as we are going via DUB arriving as a domestic passenger. If we hadn't done this I'm not sure we would have been able to afford this trip. |

in some aspects it can be more comfy - what about economy delight, same seats but more leg room and cheaper. Get more miles too
