We've been lucky and missed the coughing virus, so sorry to hear of those still suffering.

I am concerned about this new virus. Poor DH has very poor breathing and has ventilation 14 hours a day.

We'll just have to wait and see and cancel the order of face masks!

Did anyone see the article about them eating bat soup? Absolutely repulsive! I had to stop reading it in the end as it made me feel so 🤢🤮

BBC reporting the good news is that it appears so far the mortality rate per number of cases is far less than SARS, lets hope it stays that way and doesnt mutate further. With international travel theres bound to be cases develop most countries, you cant stop everything everywhere people will always find a way round it and lets face it the travel restrictions took a while to be implemented, a bit like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.

I think this could turn into something huge. What I think should happened though is to stop people entering and leaving China to stop it spreading world wide. Apparently there are cases already in the US, Thailand, Japan and South Korea.
I also think the media should find out/release info on those that have died. They could all be 90 years olds with health concerns, or people with just health concerns, maybe they are all healthy 20 years old, but it would give people an indication of it was a huge risk to them.

And by coincidence (?) yesterday I received a text from my GP surgery late yesterday pm advising I should contact them for my flu vaccination. I had it elsewhere last September but obviously my surgery werent aware, Ive also had the pneumonia vaccine. My understanding is whilst nothing stops the Coronavirus itself, the Coronavirus develops into flu like symptoms and potentially pneumonia, the pneumonia is what is causing fatalities.
