Can the wonderful dibb family help me?

I raising money for Epilepsy Action, a charity which has been a huge support to my family, by running the london marathon.

I dont have a huge circle of friends and therefore need some ideas for fundraising that don't rely on my friendship group.

Can anyone help? I have the usual just giving page and going to do a bake sale at work.

Thanks

Hi, I'm running London too and raising money for VICTA. If you are on FB join a brilliant group called London Marathon Training & Support, there are lots of folk running for charity who will share their ideas.

I've managed to hit my target now, the first thing I did was have a number square 100 numbers at £5 per square and offered three prizes of £50, when all numbers were taken I drew 3 random numbers. £350 to charity. I've had a couple of bakes sales raising £200. Nowadays it seems people don't just sponsor you they want something in return such as a chance to win prizes etc.

Another idea is memory miles, ask people to sponsor each mile for £5/£10.

I also contacted my local councillor - he sponsored me £75.

Depending where you work, someone I know asked their boss to offer an additional days leave and she raffled this off to her colleagues at £5 each and she made £££'s.

Good luck, I found the fundraising was a bigger stress than the thought of training to run a marathon.

Edited at 11:55 PM.
