Mobile Universal hotel for FOLP but not actually staying

Is it possible to book a premium universal hotel to get the Express pass but not actually sleep there. Not sure if we want to do this but just wondering if anyone has done it. We will probably be staying at Sheraton vistana villages on I drive.

You probably could as you would need to check in to get the passes and then I,don’t think they would know if you didn’t use the room, but it’s a lot of money to spend to not stay there and there are lots of benefits to staying such as the free transport and being on site.

Yes, you can. But being able to flop into bed and not worry about transportation back to your other hotel or trying to get out of the car park makes it worthwhile staying.

Also we like going out for dinner and having a couple of drinks without worrying about one if us driving back.

I'm sure you could, but I wouldn't want to miss staying there. Check in early, straight to the park, back in the afternoon to use the pool. Then use the room, out at night to the parks and City Walk. Up early and again use early entry to the parks or Volcano Bay - leave your bags with Bell Services. A lot of money to spend to not use the facilities of these lovely hotels.

Thanks everyone. Might reconsider. We will be staying one night in a universal hotel at the beginning of the holiday before we move onto the Sheraton (if that's where we end up). We will be using lyft/uber to get there on this additional night if we book it.

While we're at the Sheraton we will be cooking meals ourselves as our 2 children both have coeliac disease so eating out for a lot of meals makes me nervous. The less we eat out, the less chance there is of them being poorly.

We're also moving on to Clearwater Beach at the end so I suppose I'm trying to cut down on all the packing and unpacking. We're also going in August so I thought a one night booking for 2 days passes for 4 of us might work well.

Other option is to have 2 consecutive nights at the beginning of the holiday but that would only give us 3 days passes. Decisions decisions

What time will you arrive for your first night? I tend to think you waste that first days worth of fast passes if you are travelling on day 1.

I’d have two consecutive nights between your Sheraton stay and your trip to Clearwater.

We would stay at a regular hotel on arrival day close to universal and then arrive at the universal hotel first thing on our first full day as we will be up very early

So could you have your 2 universal days then? I know you only get 2 fastpass days rather than three. But it seems like a more organised way to divide up the time.

slightly off topic but just wanted to say - Both myself and my sister are coeliac - we found the service fantastic with GF meals. I have never been ill during my visits to both Disney and Universal. Disney was fantastic and we found loads of places in Universal for food (Disney was ‘easier’ though I will admit). You really have no reason to worry - don’t miss out on experiences for no reason! I completely understand the worry though. A bit of research before hand and you won’t have a problem
