For the “Pixie Photo” type photo shoots when they were younger, if they didn’t have anything “decent” we would. More recently, if I saw t shirts and liked them I would buy them and we would take some snaps with them wearing them. But it wouldn’t be bought just for the photos.

We often had matching clothes as Mum was an excellent seamstress and made all our clothes. She would make a pattern out of newspaper and adjust it up or down. If it was a kilt (skirt) Gran would knit the Fairaisle (sp!) jumpers! It was only for holidays as we both went to boarding school at 6yrs old and dressed alike in uniform any how. I don't think we had a camera between us for photos.

As I said before if they don’t mind or choose to then it’s not a problem . I work in a nursery and at times it’s funny as the parents come in and apologise in advance for what their child is wearing as they insisted on dressing themselves 😀 To me it doesn’t matter if the outfit doesn’t match or is totally impractical (dress up outfits ) or even a new night dress last week someone insisted on wearing as a top - it just means they are growing up and making their own choices and it’s nice to see.
However for me ,I wouldn’t waste more money on clothes got a holiday just so they match . Edited at 10:35 AM. |
