Mobile When to buy USD

Hello,

Without this getting policital when should I buy the remainder of my dollars? I bought some awhile ago and rate was 1.31 and today its 1.2 at a push.

I'll probably be looking at a loss of around £20 with today's rate, so not the end of the world. I go in September, so do I buy now or wait?

Thanks

I don't think they will improve any time soon. I got mine earlier in the year at John Lewis $1.32. Hubby still has to get his. On his list for Friday. We go in October.

I bit the bullet and got mine the day before Bo Jo was announced as PM, I got them from John Lewis as they were the best rate on the day at $1.24, we go in 2ish weeks. I also have a Starling card but have come to terms that when I use it the rate is going to be cack

If only we knew the answer to that, I would have sold everything i owned in October 2007 and bought dollars. I would now be worth £43.47

Ive learnt not to listen to others advise. You ask 10 people and 4 will say it will go down, 4 will say it will go up and 2 will blame everyone else.

The only thing i will say is that, now is bad and in 2 months time it will still be bad. Calculate what you will get now and then how much difference it will really make if it goes up a bit and if it goes down a bit. Then you can decide if you take a risk and wait.

Have a look at eurochange website as they have a good online rate (and you can go to a store to collect). I got our from there and they are usually just that little bit better than others. The lady said they have a sister company (sorry I can’t remember what it’s called off the top of my head) and they have an even better rate but you have to order online and collect either 1 or two days later (whereas eurochange it’s usually within an hour). The difference might not be much but being from Yorkshire we like to get our monies worth lol

And then the Bank of England open their mouths. How much proof do you need that these people are forcing the pound as low as possible. Since Brexit the Pound has dropped most every time these guys open their mouths and speculate the worst case scenario.
