Got to give them a chance ! They won’t have been able to get extra staff in and trained in that short time. Also there will be a tremendous number of different accounting processes ‘behind the scenes’.

I posted mine on the Monday night too. The transaction has appeared in red for several days now, but no repayment as yet.

I got mine today, I looked late last night/early hours of this morning and nothing showing except for original transaction in red. It has been refunded at some point of today. It must have been done later today as my minimum payment is still showing for amount of new flights. I now need to send in information to request refund of difference of new flights.

Edited at 07:43 PM.

How do you send information for difference in new flights? Do you complete another section 75 form?

I have printed off the Thomas Cook one that they had initially, I had a spare copy. I put Thomas Cook, section 75,then said what I was claiming for, as in the difference between the two sets of flights. I wrote a letter to attach to the form, stating same dates, airport, class and passengers. I sent a copy of original Thomas Cook booking and Air France booking. I'm not on my computer just now, but can put on here what I wrote in the letter if you want?

My balance showed as minus the Thomas Cook flights. I may have prodded a response because I wrote a secure message on my Barclaycard account. I basically said that if it was a normal section 75 they would refund straight away, then look into it, I understood that it was different this time, but why was there a hold up once the claim had been raised by customers in this instance. They escalated it to a complaint, before anyone gets on my back about this, I did not request this. Interestingly I received the message about it being escalated and the refund appeared the following day.

That would be great if you could.
I’ve re-booked flights but now flying into Miami because I couldn’t get anything cheap enough to Orlando. Not sure if that will affect any claim? Suppose it’s saving them money in the long run if the claim is accepted?
