The water is cold at the best of times , I wouldn't have the guts to go in it even in a wet suit, but I'm a wimp in cold water

We spent the first week of feb this year in Orlando - too cold for the pools for us. If it had been a ‘holiday of a lifetime’ we absolutely would have gone in and got on with it. The unheated water in DC would probably be arctic though!

Depends. I’ve done it on Christmas Day with full wet suit, 70’F with clear skies. Pretty nice. The same trip we had 9 days we were wearing full coats, hats and gloves and scraping ice off the car. I’ve swam in Florida in February in glorious summer weather but there have been more February days I wouldn’t venture near a pool. So depends is the only answer because we can’t control the weather and November to March is very variable in Orlando.

We went to Orlando mid Feb last year with a day at DC on 15th & it was gorgeous sunshine & lovely & warm. sure the water was cold in the dolphin pool & the reef but that would be the same no matter what the temp was.
Book your day early in the trip, that way if the weather looks like it won't be great you can move the day to later
