Agree with previous posters that tattoos are such a personal thing, asking others for opinions can just mean you end up more confused.

I’m a tattoo fan and have a few, but when I’ve chosen a design I want I always wait at least 6 months after choosing it before I get the tattoo. If I still love it and want to get it after 6 months, I know it’s the right choice x

A tattoo is for life not just for Xmas. Not a tattoo lover, but the fact that you have asked on a forum if you should get one means you are hesitant. So in that case I would say no don't do it.

I can honestly say I have never seen a tattoo I like, and I am ashamed to say that I also make a judgement about a person based on their tattoos and piercings (yes I know it’s wrong and I don’t act on my bias/judgement but it is totally inbuilt in me, I can’t help it).
I would just ask what has prompted the sudden urge and think long and hard.

Really, my response is practically innate - I blame my mum, it’s the same reaction I have if someone holds their knife incorrectly. My step daughter has tattoos and piercings and my husband holds his knife incorrectly, I do fight against my reactions, honestly! 😳

Oh no. My dh and ds covered in them and have piercings. He is one of the most generous, kind and family oriented person going, a big softie and I am the rottweiler and have no tatts. 😇

tattoos are like marmite for everybody. people can have different opinions on: how tattoos alter somebodies appearance, the designs of the actual tattoos, the thought of the longevity of the tattoo... depending on a person's opinions on tattoos it can change the way a person perceives you

there's no point asking other people for opinions on tattoos because people have such contrasting views, it's something you have to decide for yourself!

i am a girl in my 20s with tattoos on my calves, knees, arms of spooky imagery and some people would be mortified at the thought lol but i love it and wouldn't have it any other way.
