Fullsize SUV with Alamo @ MCO

I .

AM .

SO .

EXCITED

I cannot wait to drive an SUV. I know Alamo state Ford Expedition or Similar. What can I expect and what should I pick for the best SUV experience?

There are 6 of us for the first week, then 7 for the remaining two weeks, we also have a 'Kia Soul' or similar (what could we expect in that line?)

2.5 weeks to go to our holiday... eekkkk

I’ve only gone full size SUV once and it was a lovely Chevy Tahoe LT.
I would fancy trying the Expedition if I went full size again.

Enjoy and have a great holiday!

Be choosy when you're there in the garage and dont settle for a scraggy old one with loads of miles on. You want the current shape Expedition not the old one.

It is a real "only in America" type car as it's so huge, especially if they give you a LWB one.

The new shape Ford definitely blows the Chevy out of the water, much better performance and nicer inside.

In Florida presently, have an amazing Tahoe LT from Alamo, it had 1300 miles on the clock and the spec is fantastic. Loved driving it, although, sometimes it’s felt a little too big, but overall enjoyed it. It is the lwb version. Brilliant for the cases from the airport.

We’ve all said we’d have one at home if we could.

We’ve had full size 3 times now and each time there was only a choice of Tahoe so just ended up picking the spec and colour we wanted (white stays a tad cooler in the sun!).

Would defo be interested in an Expedition this time if they have one. Google the spec range before you go so you quickly identify the higher spec ones from the back.

We've had 1 x Chevy Suburban (a long wheelbase Tahoe), 2 x Ford Explorer and 1 x Ford Expedition. All were superbly equipped with built in Sat Nav, air conditioned seats etc. Unfortunately for my family I'm really fussy and last time it took twenty minutes to get what I was happy with (Explorer). I always have a $20 bill in my back pocket to ease the pain I create by being "one of those" customers but to date it's always been refused!

Lots of advice to look at, so consensus is: Look for the low miles as they will be the newer cars.

In this order:
Expedition
Explorer
Tahoe
Suburban

Is there still a Fullsize SUV row at MCO where you get to chose or are you allocated a car now?

@Mr Tom Morrow will probably be best to answer i suspect.

There is a Full Size row, but the keys from each car are in the hut.

You can pick which one you want, but need to get the key from an attendant.

Correct. The SUV's run from alongside the hut and normally have anything from 5 to 8+ vehicles. Then the Luxury Saloons take over for the rest of the row.
