We just rocked up at Disney and bought our tickets that day, took less than 5 minutes to queue and get our tickets. Try and plan to see Disney midweek and you won't need fast passes. Nearly all queues for rides were less than 10 minutes, the longest was Iron Man at 20 minutes but that's because it's the newest ride at the park
